A.Oei Studio

Vision

A.Oei Studio is a bespoke fashion design atelier that celebrates the artistry and craftsmanship of dress-making. From fabric design, silhouette construction, to personalized tailoring services, our end-to-end bespoke model results in unique and versatile clothing for different body types, lifestyles and occasions.

Design Approach

At the heart of A.Oei Studio is a love for story-telling expressed through clothing. Our original textile prints tell stories about nature. These prints are then individually cut into garment panels. As such, the placement of the prints vary from garment to garment, adding a distinct texture to each piece. Our silhouettes are a complex patterning of architectural and organic forms engineered for ease of movement, comfort and seamless integration into a wearer's wardrobe. Through these combinations, our hope is that an A.Oei garment is regarded as a piece of wearable art, kept in use for a long period of time.

Sustainability

We understand that "off-the-rack" may not fit everyone. We also appreciate the personal styles of our customers. Hence, our bespoke model where the designs are made-to-order, customized to individual specifications. This model improves the fit and quality of the product, minimizes production waste, and fosters meaningful and collaborative interactions between the wearer and the maker.

Alongside this model, we prioritize sustainable fashion practices such as local production, circular design processes, and the use of natural fibers such as cotton and silk, regenerated wood-pulp fibers such as Tencel-lyocell, sourced from Japan, South Korea, Italy and the U.S.
